STAGE 1 - SUSTAINING ECONOMIC RECOVERY
This year main theme will be Sustaining Economic Recovery - The pandemic brought widespread and devastating disruption to our lives. The need for accelerated digitalisation became immediate. Now is the time for reconstruction and redevelopment.
How will finance contribute to this recovery? How can it contribute sustainably?
Our selection of inspiring speakers will share up to the minute developments, trends and best practice from the digital finance world in this new, post covid era.
The four topic’s pillars of this year will be: Finance, Insurance, Regulation and Relaunch.
Finance:
In just one year, digital finance has evolved significantly. Among the new players, and the established ones who had to evolve extensively to meet the priorities set by governments, there is much to discuss. The key to the competitive future of the European financial ecosystem is the support of start-ups, scale-ups and small and large companies: our speakers will give you the latest on open banking, recent developments in crypto and the position of the central banks and governments on the matters. Sustainability will not be forgotten with the importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategies.
Insurance:
Insurance is a crucial part of our lives. To create a string customer experience, today’s insurance product and services need to be real-time, contextual and embedded. They need to blend into our daily lives. Partnerships, leveraging the power of ecosystems and exploring platform business models are at the core of this. Flexible infrastructures and strong data-analytics capabilities are needed as enablers. This evolution brings ideas and opportunities beyond insurance. We will explore how start-ups, scale-ups and corporates are adapting their business model to protect our families and businesses.
Regulation:
Is AI becoming a risk or a threat to our social community? How can we collaborate and build initiatives to share tools, best practice and policy regulating AML and other financial topics? Regulation in digital finance remains an important matter for all players. The EU wants to create the conditions for Europe to be a leader in this field. Our speakers will share with you the latest decisions and their impacts, as well as the regulatory policies in development such as eIDAS, ESG, utilities and many others in the regulatory pipeline.
Relaunch:
The post-covid economic recovery is already here and happening. It represents an opportunity to create economic prosperity for everyone. Environmental, social and governance aspects are becoming more fundamental every day. Evidence of this includes investment by corporations, start-ups and scale ups in nascent industries. How can our industry contribute to this recovery without repeating the mistakes and replicating the laws of the past? How do incumbents and new players take sustainability into account with ESG development and other factors?
